The composition of meals was adequate, but often monotonous and modest, dependet upon the seasons and upon the food grown in gardens orbought in markets, and also upon the days of the week. The food culture didnot differ much from the preceding period of prevailing Austrian cuisine during the Austro-Hungarian Empire. Major changes occured after 1960, when some dishes of other Yugoslav etnic groups were incorporated in everyday meals |
