For the first time in history, the Portal Slovenian Bibliography incorporates
bibliographic records on books, periodicals, printed music scores, sound recordings, cartographic material,
pictorial material, and articles, on a single site. Records from older Bibliographies are
published in a computer-readable form, copied files and recent bibliographic
records, howerer, in different standardized formats. The Portal is being updated on a
regular basis with new and also with the old digitized editions, thus all older Slovenian
bibliography will be gradually published.
In October 2010, the exhibition entitled Na začetku je (bila) knjiga was
organized in the Library. The text of the exhibition catalogue includes a
critical view on the history of the bibliography on the Slovenian territory from
16th to the 20th century.
