| KRATKA VSEBINA | V primeru knjižne zapuščine generala Rudolfa Maistra, hranjene v Univerzitetni knjižnici Maribor (UKM), gre za celovito knjižno zapuščino osebne knjižne zbirke Maistrove knjižnice - maistriane, ki je od leta 1998, od podpisa darilne pogodbe z dediči generala Maistra, vlasti Univerzitetne knjižnice Maribor. 5945 enot knjižničnega gradiva danestvori posebno zbirko, oddvojeno od rednega knjižničnega fonda in hranjeno vzanjo posebej prirejenem prostoru. Maistrova knji- žnica v UKM predstavlja nekakšno izjemo, saj naloga knjižnic nasploh ni izključno ohranjanje principa provenience in prvotne ureditve. V primeru Maistrove knjižnice pa gre za pomembno gradivo pri raziskovanju slovenske literarne in kulturne preteklosti sploh, zato se zdi stremljenje k čim bolj avtentični postavitviin ohranjanje celote smiselno. Za razumevanje pomena in vloge te posebne knjižnične zbirke za slovensko kulturno dediščino je treba osvetliti delovanje Rudolfa Maistra kot strastnega ljubitelja knjig in lastnika ene največ- jih in najlepših zasebnih knjižnic na Slovenskem, katere izgradnja se je začela 1912 v Ljubljani, dosegla svojo temeljno ureditev v Maistrovemmariborskem obdobju, preživela selitve v času druge svetovne vojne in premestitve po njej ter končno našla svojo postavitev v prostoru Maistrove knjižnice v UKM. Leta 2013 je potekala preureditev postavitve gradiva z identifikacijo klasifikacijskega sistema in sortiranjem gradiva, po vzoru avtentične Maistrove postavitve knjiž- nice na lokaciji v mariborskem stanovanju. Knjige niso sledile avtentičnosti tedanje postavitve. V rekonstrukciji postavitve pa se je poizkušalo čim bolj avtentično rekonstruirati Maistrov knji- žnični sistem, kar ni pomembno le z vidika same hrambe in zaščite gradiva, temveč predvsem zaradi popisa in seveda prezentacije ter posledično razglasitve knjižnice za kulturni spomenik. Razglasitev bi pomenila zaključek leta 1956 začetega postopka, ki ga je predlagala in tudi začela strokovna komisija, po pregledu 62 zabojev gradiva. Danes, ko knjižnica ima svoje mesto, je več kot smiselno formalne postopke tudi zaključiti. // Rudolf Maisterʼs book legacy, which is kept inthe University of Maribor Library, is the complete legacy of the Maisterʼs private book collection - the "maistirana". The Maisterʼs Library is in theUniversity of Maribor Library possession since 1998, when General Maisterʼsheirs and the Library signed the deed of donation. 5.945 units of library materials present a special collection, which is divided from the regular library holdings and is kept in a specially designed room. General Maisterʼs Library is an exception in the University of Maribor Library, since the general practice of libraries is not an exclusive maintenance of the provenience principle and of the original organisation. Because the Maisterʼs Library consists of materials that are important when researchingthe Slovene literary and cultural past, it only seems reasonably to strive for the authentic organisation and preserving the library as one integral whole. In order to understand the meaning and the importance of this special library collection for the Slovene cultural heritage, we have to highlight Rudolf Maister as a passionate book lover and as the owner of oneof the greatest and the most beautiful private libraries in Slovenia. General Maister started collecting books and organising his collection backin 1912 in Ljubljana; the collection was rearranged thoroughly during the time he was in Maribor; it survived the moves during World War II and afterit and it finally found its place in the General Maisterʼs Library under the patronage of the University of Maribor Library. The rearranging of the shelving system and sorting of the materials patterned after the authentic shelving system in the Generalʼs Maribor apartment took place in 2013. Until then the books were not arranged according to the authentic shelving system. The estimated shelving system reconstruction has reconstructed Maisterʼs shelving system as authentically as possible, for it is not important only for the preservation and protection of the collection but also for the inventory as well as for presenting the collection to the public and for declaring it a cultural monument. Declaring the General Maisterʼs library a cultural monument would bring the procedure, which began in 1956, after 62 cases of materials were examined by professionals, to an end. Today, when the General Maisters Library found its place in the University of Maribor Library, it only makes sense to bring these procedures to a close. |
