| KRATKA VSEBINA | With the advent of web services as new standards for data exchange over the internet, new ways for formation of virtual organizations emerged. Various web services implementations are currently incopatible in specific areas. Business standards for document exchange are also still in development. This has a negative impact on formation of virtual organizations based on web services, because it leads to additional switching costs. In the future development of web services implementation tools and strict implementation of standards will further automate implementation process and lower resource usage. Lower costs will promote dynamic formation of a virtual organization based on task requirements. This will bring us closer to the theoretical lifetime of a virtual organization which is equal to the time required to complete the task for which it was formed. |
