| KRATKA VSEBINA | V članku so predstavljeni razlogi za uporabo infrastrukture Ethernet na področju vodenja procesov in avtomatizacije. Članek podaja nekatere osnovne definicije, povezane s tehnologijo Ethernet.Opisani so tudi osnovni principi delovanja Etherneta in protokola TCP/IP. Predstavljena je problematika nedeterminističnega delovanja in nakazane so rešitve, ki povečujejo determinističnost delovanja mreže. Nenazadnje so predstavljene še nekatere praktične rešitve uporabe Etherneta. // The article outlines some of the reasons, why Ethernet is also becoming increasingly popular in the field of process control. The basic operating principles of Ethernet and the TCP/IP protocol are described, and some definitions connected to the Ethernet technology are given. Some features of Ethernet are shown, which bring exciting new implementation possibilities to the field of process control. The article discusses non-deterministic operation of Ethernet and is illustrated by some practical solution of Ethernet application. |
